Fresh Face Makeup
Hello my lovelies! Let’s take advantage of the cold weather and invest in some self-care.
This month I will be sharing with you babes a fresh-faced makeup look, so we can power through these darker and colder days with a bright, healthy, glowing look.
Before: Cute, but we can definitely see the winter and holiday damage here!
After: Also cute, but lifted and glowy too!
Fresh face makeup: Let’s get started, shall we?
For the base, we’re going for fresh and clean, so I’m keeping it minimal.
Use a light and radiant foundation to balance out skin tone, then add a touch of concealer to cover up areas that we need it. Less is more here, let your skin shine through.
This product right here, my loves, IS MAGIC! Apply it on the high points of your face, aka you nose bridge, cheekbones and your chin.
Blend it out with a sponge for instant radiance.
Let’s move onto eyes. Choose a simple, cream-based product or tint. We are looking to enhance and lift your natural beauty here, and let’s not overthink it. I use my fingers and build up colour until I’m happy with the look.
First, apply this light pearl color on the entire eye lid as a base.
Then, lightly dab ONE drop of this bronzy eye tint (it is very pigmented) on your outer corner, blend it out with your ring finger for shadow and frame the eyes.
For the lower lash line, apply the pearl shade on your inner corner to brighten and open up your eyes. Then, apply the bronze shade on the other half of your lower lash line and blend them out. This eye tint has a very nice applicator that you can easily place the tint on the desire area precisely.
TIP – Tints set and dry and set very quickly, so it is better to apply smaller amount, blend it out first then build it up if needed.
For a more natural look, use a deep brown eye tint as eyeliner. Apply with an angled eyeliner brush to create a simple, subtle wing.
This eye makeup should take less than 5 minutes to create, simple yet effective.
Add a slick of mascara, black, brown, or clear. Brown can give a beautiful, natural look to blondes and brunettes.
For brows, start with a tinted brow gel, comb your brow hair upwards at the front and bring it back to its natural shape at the end. This helps create a “naturally blessed” feathery, yet groomed look, almost like how your brows would look right after you washed your face.

Right: After
Then, we further perfect the brows by filling in obvious gaps with an extremely thin brow pencil, try to keep it as natural as possible. Less is more.
Now, we’re going to mix up our products and use a glossy finish lipstick as blush.
This technique is so good for a natural and glowing look. Apply the lipstick on the back of your hand, then apply it to the apples of your cheeks with a sponge. Hello flirty flush.
Here’s your glow, pigment, shine, and staying power. Lipsticks have some of the heaviest hitting pigments on the market – don’t be afraid to use them on eyes and cheeks!
Lastly, I always bronzer up and contour a little just to complete the look.
VIOLA!
There you have it, an easy, radiant and glowy makeup for all the challenges and opportunities 2020 may bring.
