The St. Regis Hong Kong is a “curated mansion” in the heart of Wan Chai that blends architectural creativity, cultural diversity and timeless elegance. The East-meets-West aesthetic is key throughout. Of the various offers currently available, the 24-hour staycation and the Family Traditions Package are really rather tempting.

Located on Hong Kong’s iconic Cotton Tree Drive, The Murray is one of the city’s newest luxury hotels. There is a full list of available offers, however at WELL, we would like to highlight the Murray Staycation and the Tastes of the Murray epicurean staycation package for an indulgent break.
This famous, chic, boutique hotel is in the centre of Hong Kong’s fashion and business district. Housing three Michelin-starred restaurants and a renowned spa and wellness centre, you will be spoilt for choice of experiences and indulgences. One of Hong Kong’s oldest and most pre-eminent landmark hotels, the Peninsula is a globally recognised for its blend of Eastern and Western hospitality. The Peninsula currently has an Eight Loves of Hong Kong staycation offer featuring a carefully curated collection of experiences uniquely available to HKID holders.
One of the newer luxury hotels in Hong Kong, Rosewood currently has a range of staycation offers available. For a truly different Hong Kong staycation, opt for the Life Behind the Lens promotion to have a half day photo shoot in some of Hong Kong’s most photogenic locations, a guided photo tour, and a two night stay in the Rosewood Hong Kong Signature Suite overlooking Victoria Harbour.
For a fabulous family camping getaway, Sai Yuen is definitely worth a look. There is a wide range of accommodation options, from BYO tent sites through to high-end, bells and whistles glamping B&B experiences. A significant number of the established tents have air conditioning, with some of the larger tents even going so far as a private bathroom. There is a selection of on-site adventure activities on offer, as well as all the fun and amenities of Cheung Chau island. From now through to June 30, 2020 Sai Yuen have a buy-1, get-1 offer on nightly accommodation (use B1G1 at booking, restrictions apply).
While (at time of publication) Disneyland Hong Kong is closed due to Covid-19, it is still possible to have a Disney staycation experience at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. There are a number of packages available to Hong Kong residents, with our pick being the time-limited offer of 40% off Kingdom Club Rooms and Suites (available for bookings through to 30 June, 2020). If your children are Disney fans, this is the perfect time to indulge their enthusiasm!

Offering a unique, glamping-style family getaway, Mingle Farm is a family-friendly staycation with a difference. Sleep in a transparent tent (Aecosphere) reminiscent of an igloo and fall asleep under the stars, or perhaps stay in an inflatable mushroom tent? Alternatively, caravan glamping is available with air-con and private bathrooms.
Located on Hong Kong’s western Gold Coast, this ultra-family friendly resort hotel is only 30mins from Central. This hotel has direct beach access, sea views, a kids’ club and activity spaces to keep the younger family members occupied for hours (hello, giant sandpit and pool!) and a selection of fun, themed rooms to appeal to kids of all ages. There is a range of offers available, but for us, the pick simply has to be the Kid-themed Room – 3 nights for the price of 2. Choose between Racing Car, Carnival, Hong Kong Tram, Outer Space, Safari and more to kick start your family staycation.
Situated on Lantau Island, Welcome Beach offers a caravan-based glamping experience on a 30,000sqm site that has direct access to Cheung Sha beach. There are a number of restaurants and water sports facilities within a short walk of the site. Accommodation offers can be viewed online.
Away from the hustle and bustle
This hotel is in the historic Tai O police station, a Grade II listed building that has been received the UNESCO Award of Merit for Cultural Heritage Conservation. The Tai O Heritage Hotel has various accommodation packages available, with their Celebration Package providing the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion with a staycation to remember.
The Hyatt Regency Sha Tin offers a luxurious retreat from Hong Kong’s urban landscapes. Rooms offer views of the picturesque Tolo Harbour and of the surrounding tree-clad mountains. There’s a range of activities and attractions to explore close-by. Camp Hyatt offers both indoor and outdoor on-site activities for children with a programme of activities for those aged 4 – 12 so that parents can indulge in some self-care in the Melo Spa or by the pool.
